Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you end up buying them?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and snagged them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .

When I grabbed my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their full price is $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.

Are they true to size?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
